Position Overview

NCMB is seeking to recruit a Payroll Assistant who will be responsible for helping with the processing of the client’s payrolls to be issued accurately and efficiently. Your role will involve processing of payroll data and maintaining accurate payroll records.

Roles and responsibilities

  1. Payroll Processing: Assist in the processing of payroll for employees, including data entry, calculation of wages, and deductions.
  2. Timekeeping Management: Manage timekeeping systems to accurately record employee hours worked, leave balances, and attendance records.
  3. Benefits Administration: Support the administration of employee benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other fringe benefits.
  4. Compliance: Ensure compliance regulations and tax laws, including timely filing of payroll taxes and other statutory deductions.
  5. Payroll Reporting: Generate payroll reports as needed, including wage and hour reports, payroll tax reports, and other ad hoc reports for management review.
  6. Documentation: Maintain accurate payroll records, including employee information, tax withholding forms, and payroll-related documentation.

Job requirements

  1. At least 1-year prior experience in a similar position
  2. Experience with Shireburn Indigo Payroll Software would be considered an asset
  3. Ability to prioritise and deliver with strict deadlines
  4. Excellent command of both written and spoken English
